Autumn tech conference season is here! Here in Tampere, Finland, Mindtrek is just around the corner, bringing together industry experts, developers, and decision-makers to network and share insights on current trends. The entire event revolves around all things open-source.
In 2026, open source is definitely a niche or only confined to developer circles. Instead, it’s a vital cornerstone of digital infrastructure everywhere. Whether you’re a business scaling its operations, a public sector entity digitalizing your services, or an individual software developer, the flexibility, transparency, and security of open source are essential in building modern web services.
