Seravo’s story began in Tampere in 2011. In the beginning, at the heart of the business was to offer Linux support for other companies, providing development and maintenance services based on open source solutions.

WordPress hosting became Seravo’s main product in 2014, as many of the Linux support customers needed help and assistance in hosting WordPress especially. This means it’s time to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Seravo’s WordPress hosting!

Our service has diversified and evolved over the years. Although not all changes are easily visible, in recent years we have focused particularly on improving the reliability and availability of our service. Seravo continues to grow, and we already have more than 5,500 WordPress sites hosted on our platform.

• 2011 – Seravo is established, with Linux support and consultation as its core business.
• 2014 – Seravo focuses entirely on WordPress hosting.
• 2015 – Seravo attends a WordCamp in Finland for the first time. Seravo Plugin version 1.0 is released.
• 2016 – Seravo attends a WordCamp in Stockholm.
• 2017 – Seravo attends the WordCamp EU conference in Athens.
• 2019 – Seravo takes part in organizing the WordCamp Nordic event in Helsinki.
• 2020 – Seravo buys a natural peatland area in Ranua, Finland to function as a carbon sink.
• 2023 – The amount of WordPress sites in Seravo’s hosting exceeds 5,000.
• 2024 – Seravo celebrates its 10th anniversary!

Today, Seravo consists of approximately 20 IT experts working together to produce the world’s fastest WordPress hosting service. We’re growing both locally in Finland as well as internationally.
