Open position: WordPress Evangelist is a hosting and upkeep service for WordPress websites. We maintain over 4000 WordPress sites for our customers that are businesses and public organisations from all over Finland and northern Europe. In Finland we are known as and in Sweden as Join us the help us grow internationally!


We are currently looking for a new team member to help us develop our international reach and strengthen our marketing and communications. We also want to take the industry to the next level and as we combine these goals we are looking to hire a person as a WordPress Evangelist who promotes WordPress itself, best practices around WordPress, and Seravo as a solution for many of the pressing needs WordPress site owners have.


As a WordPress Evangelist you are expected to have a strong background in WordPress. You can easily relate to the life of WordPress site developers and website owners, and the challenges they struggle with and recognize the solutions that others need to learn about. You need to have a technical background to understand what you are looking, a scientific and curious mind to seek the truth, and an urge to help others succeed so you relentlessly turn information you’ve uncovered into knowledge others can take advantage of.

In addition to the WordPress technology itself (PHP, HTML, CSS and Javascript) you should also posses knowledge about e-commerce, SEO, performance optimization, online security, web standards, accessibility and other relevant web technologies and techniques are successful website needs to have in check.

As we are surrounded by an open source community, we expect you to know how open source works and contribute to it in a meaningful way with either code, high quality bug reports or otherwise.

Past blogs, videos and public git repositories are valued over traditional degrees as proof of skills. An academic background can however be very helpful in your ability to do research and present the results. Proven attention to detail and a proper capital P dangit! spirit is a must, since you are expected to be a role model for others.
